Winning Edge Clinic Re-Cap  (2009)
On Saturday, April 11th the Pennsylvania Pleasure Walking Horse Assc. and The Northeast Mountain Horse Club held a schooling show / clinic at the Mountain Springs Arena in Shartlesville, Pa. The clinic was a huge success with Dale Seidel as the clinician. There were ten mountain horses and five walking horses in attendance. The show started around 9:00 am and lasted till around lunch, when everyone broke for a bite at Nan's Country Kitchen located on the showgrounds. After lunch everyone filed back to the arena for a lecture on DQP, shoeing, and the new rules and regs. in order to be Legal in the show ring. This speech was respectfully given by Jeff Smith. Elissa Dauberman and Mary Ellen Hoffman discussed proper show attire. Elissa discussing English with Annette Donley as model, and Mary Ellen discussing what is proper for Western wear. The clinic wrapped up with Dale giving One on One attention to each horse/rider’s individual needs. Some worked on consistency, while others worked on their canter. It was a very fun, educational and rewarding day for all who attended. New friends were made and old friends gathered to have a good time with their horses. At the end of the day we all headed down the road to The Blue Mountain Restaurant for a nice meal and good conversation with our new friends.

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who took time to put the whole clinic together. Dale and Nina Siedel, Annette Donley, Karen Maier, Jeff Smith, Elissa Dauberman, and Mary Ellen Hoffman, we had a wonderful day and we thank you all.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy show season.
